The 3rd Kuwait and Arab Youth Forum Honors Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh

KUWAIT – Kuwait and Arab Youth Forum, in its third edition, has honored HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global), in recognition of his countless contributions in serving sustainable development and corporate social responsibility at the Arab regional level in general, and the Kuwaiti level in particular.

The Forum, held under the theme ‘The Role of Youth in Sustainable Development and Water Preservation’, was organized by the Youth Public Authority in cooperation between the Arab Planning Institute (API) and the Kuwait Water Association (KWA). Holding the Forum translates the parties’ interest in development-related issues and its all-encompassing sustainable concept, with the aims of supporting and adopting innovative and creative initiatives among young people to transform them into effective development projects that contribute to saving energy and water. 

In his digitally delivered speech, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh said, “Over the past 40 years, my relations and experience with Kuwaiti associations has taught me to trust them and have confidence in the youth role; the cornerstone of renaissance and development, especially in the Industrial Revolution era. The youth is the winning card and the effective support in any success.”

He further affirmed the need to give young people the opportunity to participate in leading projects, in freely expressing opinions, in finding solutions, and in making the right decisions.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh thanked the Arab Planning Institute and all the Forum’s organizers for their invitation, expressing his appreciation for honoring him as part of the Forum’s activities.

The Arab Planning Institute (API) which is located in Kuwait, is an Arab-regional independent non-profit organization established in 1980. It aims at supporting economic and social development across the Arab countries through its several programs; including, national capacity building, consultancies, research, publications, specialized conferences, as well as entrepreneurship and information technology.
