Qatar University (QU) represented by the Center for Entrepreneurship and Organizational Excellence (CEOE), College of Business & Economics, and HyperThink Systems are thrilled to announce the launch of the second edition of the prestigious Entrepreneurship Award for Innovation and Excellence in Startups. This award recognizes and honor the ingenuity and entrepreneurial spirit of Qatari-founded companies, regional startups, and exceptional QU students and faculty.
With the aim of fostering innovation and nurturing budding entrepreneurs, the second edition of the Entrepreneurship Award features an expanded lineup of categories to celebrate the diverse achievements within the startup ecosystem.
Categories for the Second Edition:
1-Entrepreneur of the Year: This category recognizes the visionary leader whose exceptional entrepreneurship journey has made a significant impact on the business landscape.
2-Women Entrepreneur of the Year: Celebrating the accomplishments of remarkable women entrepreneurs who have broken barriers and achieved outstanding success.
3-Startup of the Year: Acknowledging the most promising and groundbreaking startup that has shown immense potential and growth.
4-Fintech Startup of the Year: Honoring the startup that has demonstrated exceptional innovation in the financial technology sector.
5-Social Entrepreneur of the Year: Recognizing the startup that has made a profound social impact through its entrepreneurial endeavors.
6-Edu-Tech Startup of the Year: Commending the startup that has brought significant advancements in the educational technology domain.
7-Health-Tech Startup of the Year: Highlighting the startup that has leveraged technology to transform the healthcare industry.
8-Ecommerce/Delivery Startup of the Year: Recognizing the startup that has excelled in the ecommerce and delivery sector.
9-Green-Tech Startup of the Year (Regional):This category extends the award’s reach to the region, celebrating startups that have shown exceptional commitment to environmental sustainability and green technology.
10-Deep-Tech Startup of the Year (Regional): Extending beyond Qatar’s borders, this category honors regional startups that have made remarkable strides in deep technology areas.
11-Entrepreneurship Case-Study in Qatar (Exclusive for Qatar University): This exclusive category offers Qatar University faculty and students the opportunity to showcase their innovative business case-studies.
Entrepreneurs and startups across Qatar and the region are invited to submit their nominations for consideration. An esteemed panel of judges, comprising industry experts and academics, will assess the submissions based on innovation, impact, scalability, and potential for growth.
The award ceremony, to be held at a prestigious venue, promises to be a grand celebration of entrepreneurial achievements, featuring keynote speeches, inspiring success stories, and valuable networking opportunities.

Nominations for the second edition of the Entrepreneurship Award are now open and interested entrepreneurs and startups can submit their entries on the award’s official website.
